There are devils in the water, careful where you swim
Ask your mother or your father did they let them in
From which ocean comes such evil, is it far away?
Where’s the tranquil water mothers, let the children play?
Inside of every brother still a devil lies
You can hear him if you listen, if you close you eyes
And up until the moment he’s the closest friend
Till the devil in the water breaks the froth again
When the devil touched a daughter he took what he liked
Till she woke and saw the evil that was in his eyes
And it broke her to the centre of her shattered soul
There’s no moral in this story, for you all to know
But if you haven’t guessed it yet that there’s no devil here
Only brothers who our mothers and our daughters fear
Was it Adam using Eve to be the fall of man
When he took her from the garden, lead her by the hand
And if we
say stop it comes
And still her sweet heartbeat drums
No answers from friends or peers
The judgement could last the years
Until she dies it’s done.
